Addendum: In October, 2019, we lost our Dude, a seventeen pound, laid back, lovable boy. He’s with us every day in our hearts and our memories. I’ve never bonded with an animal like I did with Dude. He liked to curl up on my chest while I wrote, which made typing…interesting. He loved greeting people at the door, reaching for a pet. He had the best purr (and no drool.) He was my boy and we miss him dearly.
